On the distant shore there were many little black houses. But there were no signs of life; no man, nor dog, nor bicycle was seen on the beach. The houses had the appearance of a deserted village. In the cover of the night they looked even more frightening, nevertheless a young wanderer felt no fear. He glanced at a black crow sitting on a sign above his head which said: "Welcome to the Silent Bay". As he passed it by to explore this place, a loud croaking was heard and mysterious bird flew over his head. Over the sea there was a dense fog which floated on the water, but shortly it spread throughout the village. Bewildered, he looked around and then he saw flashing light emanating from the nearest house. Curious, he came closer and perceived blurred faces. The cold air blast sent shivers down his spine and out of the corner of his eye he saw a black silhouette running behind him. When he turned back, a horrifying scene appeared in front of his eyes. Dozens of screaming people were running in panic towards the sea, where a wooden medieval ship was moored. At the same time some of barely conscious peasants, were whining pathetically on the ground. A gravel path was covered with fresh blood here and there. The man had no idea what to do and where to run. Stunned, he stood at the same place and waited for the strange vision to pass away, but it didn't. He had so much on his mind, those views and sounds were so surreal here and now. It looked like a real plague of tuberculosis taking its toll on those people. Suddenly a strange voice over his head interrupted his reflections. It sounded from above: "Stop the camera!"

On the distant shore there were many little black houses. But there were no signs of life; no man, nor dog, nor bicycle was seen on the beach. The houses had the appearance of a deserted village.
But in the past it was different. Your great-grandfather might have seen in his time a map with a big, red sign where the village used to be. Not many people had this kind of map. Only treasure hunters, adventurers, or mermaid seekers possessed them.
In this town lived a girl called Lily. She said that she had come from distant world and wanted to stay here. Townspeople, especially children, quickly grew fond of her. Lily spent with them every evening telling fairy tales.
'Lily! Tell us a story about dwarves!' asked a little girl.
'But Jenny! I was telling you about dwarves yesterday...' answered Lily.
'I'd rather hear a story about dangerous dragons!' interjected a boy.
Lily’s stories were amazing. She talked about different creatures so realistically that children loved listening to her. It looked as if she had lived among them for ages. However, she had one flaw. She very afraid of water and nobody knew why. One day, a boy came up with an idea of making a prank. He prepared a bucket with water and hid on a tree. When Lily wanted to tell a story, a boy tipped a bucket and a stream of water fell on the girl. She screamed horribly and started running towards the sea. Suddenly she collapsed, and everybody was able to see a long, sleek fish tail instead of her legs.
Children tried to catch her, but before they approached her, she was gone. Then the horror began. Strange people started coming to the village. They asked a lot of questions, and, eventually, destroyed the town. People couldn't stand it. Everyone moved away from the island.
What remained are only the black houses. Nobody has ever found the mermaid. Perhaps she came back to her distant world?

She thrusts up from her bed and smacks the alarm clock. All sweaty, pinches her night gown off her skin. She looks around, and nothing catches her attention until she glances out of the window and sees something, which she doesn’t expect for sure. Everywhere, there is a void. In the wardrobe, instead her colorful and design clothes on the both sides hangs militant outfits and armors but not so simple because they looks like a… dresses? She takes one of dresses, ties leather corset and comes to a mirror. In the corner of the room she notes a bow and arrows. Not thinking long, Gillian rehangs them on her shoulder and runs out of her room.
Even so she moves over to the nearest ruin. She turns around in the direction she comes running from. There stands a huge stone mansion sources of horror, surrounded by dark clouds. Gillian thoughts back and goes in. The interior is completely burned. Only clouds of dust and cobwebs. The girl moves ahead. Going forward she finds a huge stone staircase.
Going to the top she feels as if someone watches her. Gillian enters the nearest room which turns out to be a bathroom. Everything is bloody. Gillian comes to a broken mirror. Looking at herself suddenly she sees a masked guy. She turns back but… no one’s there. She looks back in the mirror but there’s no longer anyone visible. With increasing fear, the girl comes out of the bathroom and heads toward the next stone staircase. She’s in a huge room without windows and two rows of columns running towards the opposite wall. The only door are at the other end of the room. She moves but suddenly stops and the quiet rustle of a cloth riches her ears.
Without hesitation, Gillian pulls the handle and a moment later she stands on a large balcony, which extends directly above the cliff. The girl turns away but dies in the place. In the door stands the masked guy. She doesn’t even notice when she reaches back to the bow. He just smiles and a gun pulls out of her hand and goes down. Gillian looks for her and the boy stands behind her.
It’s not a place for you-he says and pushes her over railing.
Closes her eyes, but instead of furious waves and the cliff, she sees only the walls of her room. Gillian looks at herself and sees her favourite night gown in strawberries. ‘It must have been just a bad dream’ she calms herself and puts back to bed, and in the distance, on the balcony over the cliff, he stands, staring at the stars.
